Advance Care Planning Training Dates Community Instructor Training & Certification

Dear Collaborative Members & Visitors:

One of the kindest gifts that you can give to your clients and patients is to help facilitate their completion of an Advance Health Care Directive which designates an individual to speak for them if they are unable to communicate in critical medical decisions.  Advance Directives:

  • Eliminate the shock and ambiguity thrust upon family in medical emergencies when they are often required to make critical decisions for a loved one without a clear statement of that person’s desires
  • Allow for decisions ranging from  “Prolong my life as long as possible . . .” to “Don’t prolong my life if . . .”
  • Are easily cancelled and revised and are simply a clear statement to family and medical community of what the individual wants to have happen in case they can’t speak for themselves.

Come learn to facilitate, interact, deliberate and make decisions about an issue not easy for many of us to deal with.   NOCSC is proud to offer in collaboration with several other agencies the follow training:

Advance Care Planning Training Dates

  • Teach others to become open to the idea of discussing medical wishes
  • Learn how to talk with physicians about health concerns
  • Hear what type of legal and medical options might be available and what they can mean to the individual
